Customer Challenges / Request
A research institution approached Seiken with a highly specialized inspection request. They needed a fixture that could:
- Apply voltage to probe pins during testing.
- Allow gas to flow through the fixture as part of the test environment.
- Include a transparent glass lid for real-time visual observation of internal conditions.
- Be made from materials that would not degrade or dissolve in the specified gas.
Our Solution
Seiken proposed a modular, custom-built fixture designed to meet all of the customer’s stringent requirements:
- Two interchangeable configurations:
One with probe pins for electrical testing.
Another with a glass window for visual inspection. - The entire fixture was constructed from gas-resistant materials.
- Designed with easy maintenance in mind, allowing quick replacement of parts such as probe pins.
Results & Benefits
- Material Optimization: We used materials suitable for the customer’s gas environment.
- Visual Monitoring Enabled: The glass lid allowed to safely observe the fixture’s internal status during active testing.
- Easy Maintenance: Modular design and replaceable probe pins simplified upkeep and minimized downtime.
Application
This fixture is ideal for research and inspection under special environmental conditions, such as gas exposure, where corrosion resistance and observation capabilities are essential.
It is especially well-suited for advanced materials testing, prototype evaluation, and reliability experiments conducted in academic or institutional labs.
At Seiken, we go beyond standard solutions. From material selection to mechanical design, we tailor every fixture to fit your exact testing environment and goals.
Whether you're facing extreme conditions or unconventional requirements, we deliver custom-engineered solutions that combine precision, safety, and durability.
